Garden Green Plants

The kind of garden green plants you buy will depend on what part of the country you live in.

In the desert Southwest, plants need to be tough and hardy.  Salvias, Penstemons, and agaves are a few flowering plants that do especially well here.

In the Midwest, a huge variety of perennials will flourish.  Peonies, hostas, and daylilies are just a few.

The mountain West and high plains are dry and tend to have rocky soils.  Columbines, liatris, and versatile sedum and a few great flowers for this region.

In the Northeast, astilbe, bee balm, and lily-of-the-valley tend to do well.

In the South, you can’t go wrong with canna, black-eyed susans, and phlox.
